Kenneth M. Adams and Associates is a fee-for-service practice, which means we require payment at the time service is provided. We accept cash or check, and can process payment with most generally accepted credit cards. At this time we are unable to accept debit card. We do not bill insurance companies directly but we provide our patients with receipts which include both procedural and diagnosis codes. Our patients are responsible for investigating what their individual insurance companies cover and for submitting requests to their carriers for whatever reimbursement they cover. We are not a Medicare/Medicaid provider – so you are unable to submit bills to Medicare or Medicaid for payment or to your secondary insurance carrier. Each of the therapists at Kenneth M. Adams and Associates acts as an independent contractor, utilizing his or her own Tax I.D. or Social Security number. There is no Tax ID or “pin” number for the practice as a whole. Your reimbursement will be based on your insurance company’s policy regarding their acceptance of your individual therapist’s credentials.

Average cost of an individual session is $200.00, which is typically 45-50 minutes in length. Couple’s session or extended sessions are offered at an additional fee. Group sessions are offered separately. Please consult your therapist for need based testing and cost.

On average, the SDI is $125.00 and The PTSI-R is $75.00. Please consult with your therapist to clarify cost.

Many individuals, who do the needed tasks to establish a path of recovery, are able to maintain sobriety over time.

Therapy is different than counseling. Counseling is typically short term, weeks to months, and assists individuals to mange stress and certain problems that respond to straight forward cognitive and behavioral recommendations. Therapy, on the other hand, helps individuals uncover deeper issues that are often at the root of addictions and certain traumas. We combine both approaches but primarily offer longer-term therapy for the treatment of sex addiction.

Therapists are specifically trained to help heal underlying issues that lead to addictions and traumas that don’t typically respond to advise from a friend or religious leader.
