Answer: Sex addiction therapy typically includes cognitive techniques (as do the 12 step programs). A task based approach (like the one promoted at www.iitap.com) is the best approach in treating sex addicition. Cognitive therapy alone is not sufficient. A multi-dimensional treatment is required for a positive treatment outcome.
